Women’s cooperative was one of the most memorable excursions
we had on the trip. I think its so great that they are able to produce one of a
kind textile that cost almost nothing to make. The entire process was really
enlightening. Sometimes we forget that things weren’t manufactured at one point
or that you couldn’t just go replace something with the same exact thing. In
hard times like now, its great to know that something like this still exists
and that you can still make a profit by creating something by hand. I was so
excited to learn how to use the loom. It was a great feeling being able to make
a small contribution to a large project.
