Happy 4th of July from Greece! It's very strange being outside of the US for this holiday since it is one of my favorite, but no complaints because I'm lucky enough to be here! This morning we had a lecture/discussion with Prof. Vamvakas that connected everything we have learned about so far, from teamwork to Puerto Rico's debt crisis and whether or not countries that are better off have a responsibility to help those in need. After Greek class we took a short bus ride to the Botanical Gardens where we got to walk around and see all sorts of different plants, many of which I've never even heard of. It was really beautiful, but I think we were all feeling those small hills after the Gorge Trek yesterday haha...after we walked around we had a discussion about the circular economy and sustainability and broke into three groups that we will work on our policy papers with. Go Team Government! Next up is the Vamvakas BBQ :) And those papers.....Good luck everyone!
