Today is our first day on Rhodes after a long ferry ride. We had to be up pretty early so we're all still a bit tired and getting used to Rhodes. Katie, Sara, and I went on a walk to try to find some ham and cheese pies this morning (we couldn't find any) and I noticed that Rhodes is very very different from Crete. I found it interesting that all of the signs here are in English first instead of Greek and when you walk by a store the employees say "hello" instead of "yassas". It's been a bit of culture shock because we've been at the institute for a such a long time. It's also weird that when we go to breakfast in the morning we don't get to see Kapsomenos, Cleo, Eva, or Tasoula. I think Rhodes has a lot to offer it'll just take a bit of getting used to.
