Highlights of first week in Crete
We arrived at an ungodly hour Saturday morning after the ferry ride. After a disappointing attempt to go the beach that day we settled for playing in the courtyard with the hose. Naturally, this included Amanda and I penguin sliding on the marble, a dangerous version duck-duck-goose, and spraying Collin.
The next few days we had a lot of beach days, all of which were beautiful and a nice relief to the heat. We also got to see the local bakery, packaging plant, vineyard (everyone's favorite) and lastly the Friday night husband finding festivities. Beyond finding out that traditional Cretan costumes are highly insulated, we also learned the traditions of the holiday, how to dance, and how to jump over a comically large fire pit. Overall the experience was unforgettable, and because a picture is worth a thousand words everyone can be reminded by this wonderful photo.

Peace out Pals & Gals
