The Botanical Gardens was a hike after the Gorge but it was worth it. They had so many species of plants, many of which I have never heard of. It was also cool to be able to pick the fruit off of trees and be able to eat it (especially if you were as hungry as I was). Seeing the remaining tree stumps from the fire was something I’ve never seen before. I also found it interesting that the olive trees that burned still stood to some degree because the oil inside would burn leaving parts of the outside in tact. It was also nice to have another lecture from Tina outside. I find the work she is doing extremely important and I’m glad we were able to get some insight.
