The Botanical Garden Visit

Even though the trip to the Botanical Garden was a couple of days ago I'd like to mention it on this blog since it was such a beautiful place. The day after the hike at the gorge we went to the botanical garden and the tour certainly brought out the soreness from the hike, but still was well worth it. We were told about how the botanical garden had actually burned down and was restored to its current condition in the 90s. Also, the garden had all sorts of plants, fruits and vegetables from all over the world. I enjoyed picking fruits off the trees and tasting them (even though we weren't supposed to-- I'm a rebel).

Also, the policy activity that we did with Tina after walking around in the garden was very interesting. We split up into three groups (industry, government, and consumers) and discussed ways to become more sustainable and environment friendly.

Nature is the largest pharmacy in the world!!!!
